DUM ALOO GOBI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Cauliflower (cut into florets) 1/2 kg
  • Small potatoes 1/4 kg
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee

 

Grind:

 

  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Ginger 1/2“ piece
  • Cloves of garlic 2
  • Medium onion 1
  • Large tomato 1
  • Red chilli 1
  • Black cardamom 1
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1/2 tsp

 

METHOD

 

  1. Heat 2 tbsps. ghee and fry the cauliflower pieces till brown in colour.
  2. Peel the potatoes and deep-fry them.
  3. Then heat 1 tbsps. ghee and fry the ground masala, stirring all the time till rich brown in colour.
  4. Add the fried vegetables and salt.
  5. Cover with a lid. Cook on a low flame, without adding any water, till tender.
